This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Research Laboratory (CRL), London’s leading accelerator and co-working space for hardware startups. With UK based startups developing Internet of Things solutions, Wearables, Robotics, Smart Products, as well as novel materials it’s an exciting time to support new-to-the-world product businesses.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about startups, brings strong entrepreneurial, management and communications skills and is excited to join our growing team and community.

About CRL

Taking its name from EMI Record’s R&D division, and based on its former site at the Old Vinyl Factory, The Central Research Laboratory is an innovative, first of its kind facility for the UK. We engage people with the skills and ambition to develop innovative products and create sustainable businesses and who benefit from a supportive environment in which to pursue these goals.

We offer a wide range of ways to be part of our our hardware startup community from renting hot desks, fixed desks or studio offices in our 10,000sq ft facility, to our Accelerator programme which provides intensive support to a limited number of resident startups. The Accelerator provides desk space, access to mentors and subject-matter experts, in-depth support for finding manufacturing partners, as well as financial investment. The Accelerator is in its third year of operation and currently supports a cohort of 6 businesses.

The CRL was created by regeneration specialists U+I Plc in collaboration with Brunel University London and HEFCE, and is currently delivering a three year European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) project. This post is funded by the ERDF until 2020.
