We are seeking providers in a range of areas to enable us deliver a world class business support programme. Providers will be drawn from relevant industries and should have substantial experience, preferably working with hardware companies. We will also consider topics outside of the areas listed, but will need to be relevant to our aims, please feel free to share insights into your area of expertise with us.

Background – 

The Central Research Laboratory is London’s first accelerator and co-working space for hardware entrepreneurs. We work to support startups who want to create amazing products and grow innovative new businesses focused on hardware. CRL was awarded European Regional Development Funding to deliver a project consisting of a 6-month accelerator programme for young startups, which will be delivered alongside a business support programme for more established businesses.

The Central Research Lab is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), part of the European Structural Investment Fund (ESIF) portfolio 2015 to 2020. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the managing authority for the fund, which was established by the European Commission. The project funding is allocated under Investment Priority 1b which calls for the following:

  • Support for the commercialisation of new products and business processes and initiatives
  • Innovation support programmes for product design and development
  • Schemes stimulating and enabling graduate start-ups and spin outs from universities, colleges and research institutions

Business support provision, in line with the ethos of CRL
